"Destination RKA", working alongside Sears Point Raceway, Froggy 92.9, and Friends In Sonoma Helping (FISH) to help feed those in need.

The crew at "Destination RKA" wants to help, AND make a ride out of it.

FISH of Sonoma Valley works to provide emergency and temporary
assistance to Sonoma Valley residents experiencing times of need. In
2000, FISH supplied 1,853 households with three days of groceries, and
over 2,500 calls for food requests continue to come in each year.
The first one is always the tuff one and the weather didn't help.
(Above left) Candi Sommer drove in the van with Kathy and is always helping us in the back ground in some way or another.

Next to Candi is Bern from the RRBMWMC. Bern showed up on his K1200LT and is also one of the background helpers with this ride.
Next to Bern is Kathy of RKA.

Leonard (above right) rode all the way from Oakley Thursday afternoon and stayed at the travelodge so he could ride with us Friday! What a great help and he brought LOTS of food. He was representing the HSTA club.

Left above is Steve Sommer and RKA's manager Jim Pickens. Without these two we could not get by.

With the late start this year promoting the food drive and the rain caused us to leave "Destination RKA" with a van load of food and only five riders.

But these riders will be the nucleus of next years food drive.
We loaded the van with the food stuffs we collected and Kathy and Candi drove the four wheeler. The group left at about 9:30 in a light but steady rain. Riding to Hwy 128 and down to Calistoga. The continued down Hwy 29 through Napa Valley and on to the track at Hwy 121 and Hwy 37.

(At left) Paul and Bern out of the rain for the moment, Paul is the sales manager from Santa Rosa BMW.
We had a happy and enthusiastic crew at the main offices to meet us. Diana, john (below),

Diana Rose is the " Assistant Director of Media Relations and Community Affairs"

John Cardinale is the "Director of Media Relations and Community Affairs". for Sears Point.

Melvyn Record "Marketing Director" and Kathy (left)

After getting the food secured Dianna and John gave the crew a ride around the area so we could see all the new stuff being done. WOW.
Above left the new SUPER stands!, Above center going up the loop road. Above right looking south from turn seven. Right looking south at the NASCAR chute.

Ok everyone .. Lets start thinking about next year, we can do better that four large boxes of food and five motorcycles!!!
