Weekend Ride Oct 8, 9, 10,1999
Wow!! What a weekend, Kathy my wife and I are the best of friends and riding partners. This trip we decided to take the "Funmover" load up the TL and the SV and head North to Eureka Friday afternoon. We arrived at about seven pm and setup camp. The KOA had a hot tub and heated pool and this is our idea of ruffing it ;-) Saturday we went East on Hwy 299 to Willow Creek, then north on Hwy 96 to Happy Camp. East on Scott's River rd to Fort Jones. South on Hwy 3 the Trinity Alps to Weaverville and back West on Hwy 299. 395 miles.
Sunday was simple. We went South on Hwy 101 to Hwy 36, East to Red Bluff. Stopped for 15 minutes and came back ;-) 350 miles.
This particular page has a lot of photos and will take a little time to go through, BUT you will see some great places to go ridden if you ever come to this area. ;-)

Maybe you have been asking.. What the hell is a "Funmover"? Well it's a 31 foot motorhome with a garage in the back rather than a bedroom. We know were our preferences are ;-) |
