Jere Starks, Our very own riding buddy and friend, ... and ... The Vice President of Facilities at Infineon Raceway, was named the 2006 AMA Pro Racing Sportsman of the year during the annual Banquet in Las Vegas, Nevada. Starks an avid motorcyclist, was recognized for his efforts in making Infineon Raceway's road course safer for racers. Particularly motorcycle racers, and for his fundraising efforts. Starks and fellow riders James Randolph and Jay Brosius formed 3J's Motorcycle Track Days, and the group has held two events raising $135,000 for racer Vincent Havovec, who suffered paralyzing injuries while racing at Infineon Raceway in 2005.

RKA Photo of the Month.

The first photo is of Gene Abell's immaculate BMW R1150S Boxer Cup, showing off his RKA tankbag. The second photo is of Gene and his friend Ron Holzkamp. Rumor has it that these are two of the biggest troublemakers to come out of Oregon.
Where the hell are they? Gene sent this photo asking that question thinking I would not figure it out. Unfortunately for him they are on one of our favorite motorcycle AND bicycle roads in Sonoma County, "Coleman Valley Road". They are pointed west toward Hwy One and have a 1.5 mile 800 foot drop coming up that's pretty much straight down and about has curvy as you can get. If you want to see this road for real check out the "Tour of California" bicycle race, stage 1, Monday Feb 19th on V.S. TV. The bicycles will be CLIMBING this road from the West!!

If you have a great RKA luggage photo send it in and we may make you "Photo of the Month" material.
Send all photos, stories comments to "info@rka-luggage.com"
