This page has been put together for some special applications that we did not anticipate. When RKA designed the first IN-Charge series bags we installed one or two light devices.
A Zumo 550 was the number one device. Then of course a FRS radio for bike to bike communications.
Now we have customers that want THREE devices, like adding a radar detector or a Midland 75-822 CB radio, much heaver than a FRS radio. Additionally some people like smaller bags some like bigger bags. Some bikes have a very large tank, some have a very small tank, some sloped. In other words every application can create it’s own unique issues that we cannot anticipate
When setting up your system on the moto start with the tankbag installation. The bag must not move for it to be a solid platform for your communications devices. See our instructions pages or call us if you have a question on your tankbag install.
You want the devices to be BACK over the tankbag as far as possible setting on the RKA logo if possible. Once back has far as possible push them down onto the bag then tighten the Rammount so the device is “part of the bag” The farther back the less chance you have for movement. If you want a smooth ride do not “hang things” out or “up” in the air, have everything tight and close to the tankbag .
After following all these steps If you are still experiencing oscillation issues drop us a line and we will send you this strap free of charge.
